I founded my consultancy LLC to provide full stack marketing and creative strategy and design services to clients. I prospect, scope, and manage all projects as well as execute the consulting and design development for B2B and D2C end-customers. I work closely with C-suite executives, business development, and other subject matter experts to bring ideas to life.
Some recent projects have included automotive energy recovery systems, SaaS+ startups, digital healthcare products, and infographic designs and visual storytelling for international development programs.
My services have contributed to securing over $10 million in funding from investors and development partners for my clients.
I joined KBZ Bank during an incredibly exciting time for both the bank and Myanmar. As a modernizing workforce quickly adopted new digital solutions for their everyday lives, we launched what became Myanmar's fastest growing mobile money and digital wallet network, KBZPay.
While leading a small, collaborative in-house creative team of graphic designers, video producers, and copywriters, we provided creative support for the largest-ever digital onboarding initiative in Myanmar’s history, resulting in first-time access to financial services for millions. By 2021, KBZPay successfully onboarded 10 million customers and 290,000 merchants.
My team developed a broad range of marketing materials to support this effort, including on-ground signage, a heart-warming TV campaign, a vast library of online educational videos and engaging digital campaigns, and experiential sponsorships such as Myanmar's "first cashless market experience" at the Duwun Food Carnival 2019.
We also supported the launch of other corporate initiatives, including an audit and overhaul of the parent KBZ Bank brand and corresponding digital platforms, and spearheading the ideation and development of their private banking product, KBZ Private.
Having worked in tandem with an agency to bring life to the ananda brand identity through the ideation, screenwriting, and editing of film and visual concepts, I oversaw further development of the newly-launched brand as an in-house Creative Director.
Utilizing a 360 approach, I built innovative brand concepts while working with and guiding the marketing team and outside agencies to execute a wide variety of brand assets; including launch and sales event activations, sponsorships, office and store interior designs, staff uniforms, new print and digital campaigns, new brand films and visuals, and POS and OOH materials.
I provided a host of interdisciplinary creative services for clients, including commercial photography, creative and art direction, brand ideation and design, corporate reports, professional typesetting, brochures and copywriting and editing
I spearheaded the ideation, design, and rollout of a complete relaunch of the travel magazine, My Magical Myanmar. With a small team of designers, editors and freelance writers, I led the transition of the magazine from a dense quarterly into an tight 84-page monthly.
By refocusing the publication on local stories and adventures that could highlight the natural and cultural beauty of Myanmar, we elevated the content and garnered increased readership and ad-revenue from travel, hospitality and F&B partners.
As Myanmar opened up its borders, the arts, nightlife and F&B scenes quickly bloomed. Businesses needed a channel to reach the new influx of international expats, who were in dire need of reliable information about their options. Myanmore filled the vital role as custodian of the latest and greatest through its weekly pamphlet What's On, and then as a monthly magazine entitled InDepth.
I joined the team as a contributing writer and photographer for their dining & nightlife content, before taking on a full time roll as Executive Editor as the company expanded into a monthly social & lifestyle magazine with a 10,000 print circulation, monthly networking events and a growing social media presence with the advent of affordable and reliable data/internet connections within the country.
Alligator Juniper was Prescott College's national literary journal which fielded thousands of poetry, fiction and nonfiction manuscripts, as well as photography collections, for its annual writing and photography competition. First place winners in each category received a $1,000 prize as well as publication and contributor copies. All finalists were also published and paid in contributor copies.
In this role, I provided technical and administrative support to the managing editor and the team of faculty and student editors who fielded, reviewed, and critiqued all submissions. Personalized responses were provided to every applicant, whether accepted or rejected, along with an original copy of their work.
This independent, student-run monthly newspaper served northern and central Arizona. The team of writers and photographers provided coverage for local news and politics, science and the environment, entertainment and events, as well as op-eds and long-form features.
As an Assistant Editor, I supported the Executive and Managing Editors in managing our team of contributors while ideating the direction of new content for each issue. I also provided technical support as-needed for any other tasks required to meet our publication deadlines; such as copyediting, layout design, website management, and contributing writer or photographer.
Throughout my enrollment at Prescott College, I worked numerous work-study jobs that maximized my opportunity to learn real-world technical skills. These roles supported my already well-developed visual editing and composition skills and gave me the opportunity to teach myself Search Engine Optimization, Content Management Systems, and the Adobe Creative Suite.
As a Web Assistant, I supported the college's IT & Web Department to upload, catalog, keyword, and layout content as-needed.
As Student Blogger, I contributed stories and photography about student life and facilitated communications with prospective students.
As a Digital Lab Technician, I manned the schools computer lab and provided video, photo, and graphic design support for student-run organizations, school events, and other independent studies.
Photography will always be my first great love affair. From the moment I picked up my first SLR Camera, a 35mm Canon Elan 7e, I sought to learn everything I could about photography. Without the means to afford a college degree at this time in my life, I sought education through practical work, not realizing at the time that this would become a theme for my life.
As I learned the requisite information to sell photography equipment and execute photo development services, I quickly learned the inner workings of modern digital and analog cameras and studio lighting equipment, while simultaneously having the opportunity to print my work at a greatly discounted rate. At a time when digital cameras began revolutionizing the amateur and professional photography world, this role kept me on the cusp of industry trends and new technologies.
